Squarrel Café
Branding | Print | Collaterals
It all began with a cartoonish dream from years ago. In the dream, there were four squirrels gathering around a square, playing all kinds of board games. This is where “Squarrel” got its name from –– combining the words “square” and “squirrel,” where “square” symbolizes a place for people to gather together and “squirrel” symbolizes of New Yorkers. Opened in spring 2019, Squarrel Café located just a short walk from the Barclays Center, it is a neighborhood gem known for excellent coffee, bubble tea, and family board games.
"As millennial, we see the benefits of electronic devices and yet all types of social media becoming indispensable, but we are also reminiscent of our childhood time when we made friends by simply gathering with each other and play games. We want to keep that simplicity while encouraging people to stay 'unplugged'. After detailed planning and research on the café industry, we put our plan and everything we have into action and made Squarrel Café a reality. Our vision is to create a 'stay-connected vibe' for our customers so that they can forget about their electronic devices and enjoy the moment with their loved ones in person." –– Ming & Ashley, Owners of Squarrel Café
